A Copa João Pessoa de Futebol definiu os finalistas no feminino: Cruz das Armas e Bancários disputam o título na primeira edição da história feita para as mulheres da competição. O jogo está marcado para a próxima terça-feira (20), às 20h15, no CT Ivan Tomaz. Já no dia anterior, no mesmo local, mas às 16h, tem a disputa de terceiro lugar entre Mangabeira e Castelo Branco.
“Reta final. Nesta próxima semana já temos a final da Copa João Pessoa no feminino. Foi uma vitória para a secretaria e acho que para o futebol feminino também. A gente poder estar fazendo um campeonato como esse muito complexo, mas dando vez ao feminino pela primeira vez”, comentou o secretário de Esportes da Capital, Kaio Márcio.
Na semifinal na última sexta-feira (16), Cruz das Armas venceu Mangabeira nos pênaltis por 5 a 4. No tempo normal as equipes empataram em 2 a 2. No outro jogo, Bancários superou o Castelo por 2 a 1.
A seleção campeã leva o prêmio de R$ 7 mil. Já o vice ganha R$ 4 mil e o terceiro colocado recebe R$ 2 mil. A premiação desta vez é maior em relação ao ano passado. O valor vale para o masculino e o feminino.
