O time dos Bancários é o grande campeão da primeira edição para as mulheres da Copa João Pessoa de Futebol. A equipe levou o título após vencer Cruz das Armas por 3 a 0 em jogo emocionante, na noite desta terça-feira (20), no Centro de Treinamento Ivan Tomaz, no Valentina de Figueiredo. Os gols foram marcados por Jéssica, Josy e Zayra no segundo tempo.
O campeonato, que tem realização da Prefeitura de João Pessoa, através da Secretaria de Juventude, Esporte e Recreação (Sejer), teve a participação de 12 times e chegou ao fim depois de 20 partidas.
“O evento foi muito bem representado. É o primeiro ano de uma competição muito rica em dar oportunidade para as jogadoras. Muitas se apresentaram pela primeira vez em um campeonato como esse. Tivemos jogos transmitidos ao vivo na TV Cidade em canal aberto e na internet, como foi o caso dessa grande final. A Copa João Pessoa tem essa tendência de revelar jogadoras. A sementinha foi plantada neste ano. Tenho certeza que no próximo ano vamos aumentar a quantidade de times e vão estar mais preparados”, comentou o secretário de Esportes da Capital, Kaio Márcio.
O auxiliar técnico Guilherme Paiva, dos Bancários, comandou a equipe na beira do gramado na final. Ele fez uma avaliação do desempenho do time no torneio e elogiou a iniciativa da Prefeitura de João Pessoa por realizar o evento. “Do início ao fim, a competição foi um sucesso e um espetáculo à parte. Nossa equipe fez um belo trabalho, tanto hoje quanto nos outros jogos. O time realmente foi merecedor desse título e a Prefeitura de João Pessoa está de parabéns pelo excelente trabalho feito”, destacou.
A seleção campeã levou o prêmio de R$ 7 mil. Já o vice Cruz das Armas ganhou R$ 4 mil e o terceiro colocado recebeu R$ 2 mil, que é o caso de Mangabeira. A premiação desta vez foi maior em relação ao ano passado. O valor vale para o masculino e o feminino.
